So let's have a little quiz. What is the most commonly used finisher in the States? For Europe it's mainly the piledriver (and if not THE finisher, then you'll have a follow-up for the piledriver as the finisher). Sure they use sunset flips and such, but bigger events get the more annihilating moves. It's cool, because you just don't see it anymore in the mainstream wrestling, but then you'll have indies doing it. That's some extra points from the fans. I'm a big fan of the suplex powerslam, more commonly known as the Jackhammer. Not a big Goldberg mark, but without a doubt somewhat of a fan of his. So, let the moves be heard

I dunno it seems to me that everyone is using the superkick aka sweet chin music etc...
Thing that pisses me off is seeing a ton of people using it as a mid match move.

When Shawn Micheals started using it; it was his mid match move. Later other wrestlers encouraged him to make it his finisher.
I like the X-Factor and the Superkick, but they're so over used that I won't finsh a match with them. Instead I use them or a Diamond Cutter (RKO) to set up for a splash from the top rope. If the fans want they can think the splash sealed the deal or they can think it was just the icing on the cake after one of my set up moves.

Yup, superkick is like duct tape, they use it everywhere. Ryan, do you use the top rope splash or a springboard splash? The funny thing is, that we don't have a whole lot of Stone Colds on our hands. I've yet to see a Stunner as a finisher for anyone but Austin. Sure, Whipreck and Tajiri use the modified thingy, but the original Stunner, the kick to the abdomen-flipping off-stunning the bejesus out of them... well, haven't seen that in person. I'm not going to be the first one to do it either.

To be honest I'm practicing the splash right now, but I haven't used it in a match yet. (Its been a long time since I've had a match)
I think I'll do the top rope splash. Perhaps something like D-Lo Brown did, but I'll call it "Death From Above" instead of the Lo-Down.
I don't have the agility to do a springboard splash...or anyother move with the word springboard attached to it. I'd really like to learn the Shooting Star press, but I'd be too terrified of breaking my neck.

I wouldn't dare try the Shooting Star as well, I like my life the way it is, I don't need a wheelchair or a tombstone with my name on it

I like to think my move is original,
I set them up for a tiger suplex (me behind them, with an underhook hold on their arms)
Then lift them in the air, and i sit out and drop them face first.
I hope that makes sense lol!

I'm a fan of the Rubix Cube, used in desperation by Chris Hero. It just screams "Match is over!"

I'm not saying other people can't do the shooting star press or high flying moves, I'm just saying I can't. For me in would just be a matter of time until something went terribly wrong.

Ok I am resurrecting an old thread. I have seen alot of people use the 3/4 neck breaker (Diamond Cutter, RKO) lately. Personally I have used several moves as Finishers.
C-4 leg drop- It is a second rope leg drop, patterned after the Lo-Down. I jump off, throw my legs out, and my arms between them on the way up, then bang the leg drop.
AC Certified- It is a variation of the Twist of Fate and Stunner. I never really used it in a match, just training.
The Knight Fall- It was a straight rip off of the Sky High, but D-Lo himself did instruct me on how it was done properly.
Double Cross- This is my heel move. You grab the opponent in a double under hook. I keep their head to the side of my hip, not in between my legs. Then it is a lift, slight spin, DDT. It looks real cool when done properly.
That is pretty much my "Finishers." i have finally been able to get footage of Stunning Steve Austin's inside toe hold, AKA the "Hollywood and Vine" leg lock. I have started practicing this, and I love it. I have looked for footage of it for years, and finally found it on youtube.
I set up my C-4 with a superkick or I have actually used it mid match, why, because it is just a kick to the head. Like stated before, Shawn used it mid match, and used that goofy pumphandle slam thingy for a finisher.
