I saw an article on another board about problems with gay wrestlers. I'm not homophobic, but I can certainly understand feeling awkward having a gay opponent or changing in a locker room with a gay wrestler. On the otherside of things homosexual wrestlers might feel that they're being discriminated against.

Yes, I guess. I don't care if the guy I'm working with or dressing next to is gay, straight, bi or tranny, so long as he's willing to bust his ass in the ring.

Who cares if they are gay, it shouldnt matter. They are paid to do a job just like the rest. I know that some people cant stand the idea, But as long as they are professional about it and understand that they need to do their job there should be no problems.

I have worked a real gay wrestler before, and it was hillarious! he kept telling me how cute i was when we took our breathers. i about broke character, i was gonna laugh so hard! as long as they really don't try to do anything to you, and you both respect each other in the ring, it shouldn't matter. and in the locker room, they can look, but they can't touch. so, you're still safe.

I look at it like this, what they do on their own time is their own business. When it comes to a show, if they are professional about it, who cares?

I agree. Some of the best friends I've had were gay as a $3 bill, but you couldn't ask for a better friend. Also most gay guys won't try anything with straight guys. As far as wrestling goes, if they did grab you the wrong way, I think that would be a good time for a few stiffs (and I don't mean in the pants) =P In other words, I wouldn't have a problem steeping into the ring with a homo.

Let's get real here we are wrestlers. We wear spandex and grab other men in awkward positions (Where does your right hand go during a body slam).
Homophobia has no place in the locker room because frankly I've grabbed more man ass and johnson in the ring than the leader of the Rainbow Coalition during a gay rights parade through an all male nudist colony.

Normally I don't care if someone's gay or not. In the case of wrestling, getting a physical, or any other time another man gets within a foot of my pecker; I'd rather not know.
On screen, I thought the Ricco and the Billy & Chuck gimmicks were hilarious.

I don't mind gay wrestlers at all... I had some of my best matches against a gay guy, and I never felt uncomfortable working with him, because I trust him not doing any sexual moves towards me during a match.

You had a lot of gay wrestlers in your area? Gimmick wise I've dealt with one. It was a good, but strange match. During an interview segment, I was asked if I was bothered by having to wrestle 'Flaming' Lance Leo and said I didn't care as long as he didn't try to *pin* me. The camera panned out to him standing next to me and said "Don't worry Steel, I won't pin you, I'd rather make you *submit*" and then smacking me on the butt as he walked away. As a whole the match was so bad it was good. Behind the scenes, there is one girl I know is a lesbain, but it doesn't bother me. Some of the guys might be gay, but I don't know and don't want to.

I wouldn't think twice of working with a gay guy. Why wouldn't a homosexual be any less professional? I don't need to know either, I don't care.

Sometimes keeping your work life and personal life separate is for the best, but I would say I doubt that what happens in the ring to them is sexual in anyway, we all know how unforgiving those ring tights can be. Let's face it if they got any sexual gratification out of it they probably wouldn't need to tell anyone.

You had a lot of gay wrestlers in your area? No, all the wrestlers in Switzerland are straight.

The biz, though looking very homo-erotic, is extremely homo-phobic. Sad really.

i think it doesnt matter whos gay or not, i have grabbed too much ass and cock in that ring and im straight!
besides, all the good moves involve a cock in the face eg rana, headscissors, powerbombs etc!

i'm mixed on the topic, if his gimmick is that of a straight guy, than my focus would be on the match and puttin on a good show, but i would feel weird and distracted if his gimmick call for him to be gay.

Why? Being distracted is something that could lead to either one of your injuries. We don't want that, do we. Try not to think about it, be a professional

being gay shouldnt be a problem unless the person in question has an issue with self control and goes around touchin the other guys then he might get a beat down
