Is it an extensive moveset? A colorful costume? The gift of gab? Tell me what you think, you smarty-smart eggheads.

Well, I am just starting out in this business but, what I have heard... charisma, sells of moves, and sportsmanship is what makes a wrestler. Let me explain, if a wrestler sucks at wrestling, but is very popular with the fans, keep 'em. If they aren't popular with the fans, but are an alright wrestler, toss 'em. If a wrestler gets punched in the head, the proper way, theyre going to have to sell the move to make it look real. Dont keep anyone who cant sell moves. A wrestler has to arrive on-time to events, and keep a match alive. Be a leader, basically.

Well I've been in the business for awhile and I have seen a lot of great wrestlers that have not made it to superstar status. It is mainly because the fans make the star. You can be the best wrestler/seller and the best on the mic but the fans will make you into a superstar. I mean Mick Floey himself said that he got more pops out of taking a stinky sock out of his crotch then when he was jumping off of the hell in a cell. So whatever the fans like and cheer about you will make you into a star.

I agree with spwrestling07. The only things that makes a superstar is the fan. If the fans don't like you, you won't be a superstar. You will be know but not much as you will like, it simply matter of the fans.

My opinion more as fan (mark) then as a wrestler is continually putting on good matches that draw the fans. While a lot of wrestlers have one moment that makes them immortal like Hogan at Wrestlemania 3 or Mick Foley's 1998 Hell in a Cell it was their ability to leave the fans feeling like they got their ticket money's worth night after night that truly made the great.

In the RF Video shoot with Billy Jack Haynes, he said there were 4 elements in making a wrestler, charisma, mic skills, physique, and their ability to work. He said a wrestler MUST have at least 2 of those to be able to make it

Each and everytime you are in the ring ,you are telling a story to the fans .They have to believe what you are doing .some guys think just because they can do a few moves and take bumps they are prowrestles. That is bull. You need to know when and how to sell .when to work the crowd[HEEL]There is so much to it.the biggest thing is showing the older guys who have paid there dues the proper resoect.yes they will tell you when you look like crap. But don't get made they are just trying to help, point out what you need to inprove on.

Charisma. I believe you are a good STAR even if your not the best wrestler, but you keep trying and don't give up, and work to be better.

True but , the main thing is training , Learn all aspects of it.micwork, bumping, working the body, when to sell , when not to sell ,how to work the crowd, work and perfect your moves and how to take the moves. To many guys start their training at one placeafter they learn to bump they go some where to wrestle with out finishing their training,This makes it look bad on he guy who started their training .Don't forget you never quick learning no matter how long you been working.stay in the gym weight training is just as important as the other.

i think charisma is it. you can be the bomb in the ring but if you lack charisma the crowd won't totally connect with you.

i agree charisma is the best thing look at john cena he may lose a match but because he has so much charisma the fans still love the heck out of him and good looks dont hurt either cause i have plenty of female friends that say they just want "INSERT WRESTLERS NAME HERE" because of their hot body lol
