Not too many of 'em yet, but I once tore a muscle in my back, the lower part of the lat during a training session (ALWAYS stretch and warm up before you do anything, I learned that the hard way) and a few concussions. Like I said, not too many injuries yet, but I'm sure there's lot to come.

I gave a guy a headlock takedown, and his knee collided with mine, and I went down insantly. I wrestled for 2 years not knowing that some serious had happened. Well, I went to a specialist, and found that I had torn my ACL and cartilage around my knee. I ended up needing 2 surguries to repair everything. But since then, I havent had anything to bad.

I've had a few but probably the worst injury for me was when I was wrestling in Mexico (39 days in a row) on day four I was running the ropes and I stepped in a gap between the ring padding causing my knee to twist. I tore all the cartilage in my knee cap out causing my knee cap to shift 180 degees. It was on the complete other side of my leg. Since I was in Mexico, I had a buddy of mine help me move the knee cap back to where it was supposed to be and then taped my up keeping the cap in place while I finished the tour. When I got back to the states and saw a doctor he wanted to do reconstructive surgery since it already started to heal in the wrong place. I didn't have insurance so I just left it the way it was. Now to this day, I have limited flexibility in that leg and have a hard time just bending at the knee. The other injury that's probably a close second when it comes to daily pain is when I screwed up my back while doing a legdrop off the top rope and landing on my ass. I ruptured the disk between my L1 & L2 vertabre. Now there is no fluid in that disk so basically it's bone on bone. Doctors have suggested surgery for that as well but I don't want to get the vertabre fused just yet as that would end my time wrestling and being able to do things with my kids.

Too many to name lol The worst injury I've ever had was wrestling a match in Florida for a new promoter. He paid me pretty well so I didn't mind too much but what I didnt know till after the match was that the guy he booked me with was untrained. Some yardy who was 500lbs and shorter then I was. Anyway this kid goes to the top rope almost breaks the rope, jumps off and his ass lands on my face. I was knocked out for 20mins and he broke both jaws, gave me a severe concussion, broke my nose, and awhole bunch of cartilage in my face. Also the shock went to my back and it tore several disks. I was paralysed for 6 months from the waist down. Which sux because I had to quit the business that I love.

Are you serious? That's terrible, man! I would certainly hope that this promoter and this other "wrestler" aren't in the business anymore!

The other wrestler was Mustafa, and the promoter Paul Heyman. It was a ECW house show. The kid was told he's gonna have to blade but he didn't know how to, so he asked Jerome to do it for him. Jerome's first attempts had no effect, the one with the x-acto knife did. It wasn't Jerome's fault, he was told to wrestle the guys and help the kid out juicing. That's what he did. He made the cut too deep though, but the kid puffed his cheeks, which makes the blood flow at a faster rate. The kid HIMSELF wanted to bleed like a stuffed pig, he wanted to be hardcore. The whole thing is true, it's not that Jerome found out that the kid hasn't had any training and the wen't nuts in the ring. No, that wasn't the case. Actually, from what I've heard, they, them being the kid and his father, even told that the kid had been trained by Killer Kowalski at his school. Paul needed a replacement for Balls? (not sure, could've been Axl) and the kid was there. After the match, when the EMTs had finished the kid up he wondered around backstage, thinking he woul get a job with the ECW. After they found out the kid had NO training they didn't give the job to him. After that the kid's family filed a lawsuit against ECW. One more thing, you can actually hear the kid's father yelling constantly to stop the match after he saw how much blood the kid was losing. You can watch the whole thing on YouTube again, listen carefully now. The guy who's constantly yelling and calling names is his father.

^I'm guessing you posted in the wrong topic. (Refering to the Mass Transit incident)
Eric Kulas lied, claiming he was 19 and had been trained by Killer Kowalski. He only 17 and had only yardered. NewJack probably didn't intend to hurt the kid as bad as he did, but he certainly intended to leave the kid with a lasting impression of what happens to yarders who pretend to be wrestlers and act arrogantly to other wrestlers.
New Jack screwing up the blading wasn't a total 'accident'. Blading requires a very small cut, that one was at least 2 inches long and took 50 stitches.
Of course if it had been an accident it would only further prove the point.

Yeah, sorry about that, but Jerome didn't know at the time that Eric hadn't been trained. From what I've heard, it was an accident, because Jerome was told the kid was trained so he went ahead and assisted in him blading. Why would he intentionally hurt a fellow "wrestler"? He didn't want to hurt him, just helped the kid to juice. I'm sure after he found out the kid was lying, he would've done something much worse to the kid in the ring. But we're no Jerome or Eric, so we both might be wrong in some aspects of the thing. From what I've heard Eric committed a suicide (not related to any of the things with ECW) And you're absolutely right about the accident part, the kid had no business whatsoever to step in the ring with PROFESSIONAL WRESTLERS and trying to become famous, or whatever his goal was, without NO training. But it isn't entirely his fault, his dad backed him up a lot and even helped him lie to Paul.

Eric Kulas died from complications of bypass surgery.
Seriously, when wrestlers blade, they rarely make a cut more then a centemeter long. Judging from the video that cut was at least two inches and probably closer to three. Also when someone has never bladed before, a lot of times they'll make a cut under an eye brow or right above the hair line before the match and then another wrestler will gave a few stiffs to open it up in a match.
Trust me, real wrestlers can spot a fake easily. From little things like a hand shake, to physical shape, to the general way we conduct ourselves back stage you could tell without even asking. Of course yarders tend to be insecure at the backstage of a pro event (with good reason), so they try to act tough and their arrogance only further proves they're not pros. That's exactly what Eric Kulas did. The correct thing for an inexperienced wrestler to do when working with a vetern is to introduce himself, shake the vetern's hand (lightly), ask the vetern how the match is going to go and then be quiet, listen, learn; and only give an opinion or make a suggestion if its asked for. If Kulas had really been trained by Killer Kowalski, he would have known that.

My worst was in a ladder match. It was near the end of the match and I locked up with my opponent. The ref came by and said, "Alright, lets take it home, guys." I guess my opponent didn't hear the ref. I whipped him into the ropes and DDT'd him. As I climbed the ladder and was reaching for the briefcase, he pushed the ladder over. I was not prepared to take the bump, and I missed the ring and hit the concrete floor HARD. To this day, I have a winged scapula, nerve and muscle damage to my left shoulder. I have a numb spot on my left shoulder blade about the size of a mid-size ashtray.

My worst injury was a separated shoulder, suffered while training at Malenko's Wrestling School back in '96. I was attempting a fisherman suplex (a "Perfect-plex", if you will). and drove my right shoulder right into the mat. Malenko popped it back into place right then and there, but it hurt like hell for several weeks afterwards, and even to this day still kind of makes a nasty scraping/popping sound if I twist it the wrong way.

To be honest I have yet to have a lingering injury but I did have two very close calls. The first was while preparing for a show I punched my opponent in the stomach while he was on the top turnbuckle about to leap on me. Then I climb the rope and we struggle till he gets me ready to deliver a rock bottom off the top rope. Unfortunatley at some point in the match the ties came loose and the padding moved to expose the boards underneath and my head bounced off and almost knocked me out.
The second was during a show (different event) and this time the same opponent stops me from jumping on him but after punching me in the stomach he goes to give me a neck breaker off the top rope. He forgets to slide me neck off of his shoulder just before landing so when we landed he almost really broke my neck, haha. Good times.

I haven't finished training yet however my worst injury thus far was while i was learning, of all things, the international. I hit the ropes, another student dropped in front of me, I went to jump over him and my ankle smacked into his shoulder hard and I toumbled accost the ring. I broke my ankle and tore a ligament that took the better part of a year to heal. I couldn't even climb up a latter for about 3 months.

Well, last time I was in a fed, which was mine, my last match was the last fed match. (Ring broke) But here is the match:
I walked down the hill, with "Wake Up" by Three Days Grace blasting from my stero. I get in the ring. I jump to the top rope, and taunt. I do a moon sault and land on my feet, I about fell, then all my friendsstarted laughing, as my friend changed the song to "Headstrong" by Trapt. They announced he was new, and he jumped over the rign ropes and got face to face to me. He was 15, I was 13. He was 6'1" I was 5'7" Blah, Blah, Blah. We done the match. Then I done my finisher, the f-9 (Fireman's carry into a spinbuster.) I went to the top rope and done the swantom bomb. But he put his knees up, and hit me in the back. Hurt like hell! But I was ok, but the rign was broken. I fired him, and I closed down Bad 2 De Bone Wrestling.
And that was my worst injury

My worst injury happend in NGW (Next Generation Wrestling) in Peoria Illinois a few years back. It was a tag team battle royal or some crap and i was beating up this guys partner outside the ring on the floor. I bodyslammed him on the concrete, and i turned around and took an spinwheel kick from his partner, not knowing he was there and he knocked in my front tooth. When i came to the back it was so loose i pulled it out. Now i have a fake front tooth. Talk about sucky, but it looked really fucking good even though the crowd wasnt that great.

my worst injury was created due to the show side of the business. I dont know if any of you have used theatre smoke before??
but it makes everything metal that it touches feel like its been lubed up! i went for a shooting star, put my back foot on the metal bar holding the turnbuckle to the post, pused up and sliped.
i landed on my head, got matburn all the way down my face and fractured my neck.
that sucked!

I haven't been able to put much time into this place lately, with work and college. I don't even have time to watch wrestling, never mind wrestle myself. Maybe when things slow down a bit.
Sorry Jacob, I know you're pretty much running a one man show these days.

Darkchild,
I going to ask nice that you either modify or remove the post where you made accusations against a good friend of mine "Red".
If not, further action will be taken.

Further action has been taken. Darkchild's and Truthmage's posts have been deleted. I owe Dan an apollogy letting that crap continue. I know there are a lot of wrestlers with bad blood against each other, but that type Jerry Spring crap makes the whole business look bad. I don't expect people to play kiss @ss with our mods, but that sort of disrespect will not be tolerated.

I just joined the board yesterday. I was looking through the threads and all of them were all in good taste. Except for this one. It was bizarre to say the least. First of all, it appeared that darkchild and truthmage were on the same side attacking someone called red. Truthmage was talking about a match with red and darkchild was attacking him personally. Funny thing is, red never posted anything. Whoever Red is probably dosent even know about the board? You're right. Wrestlers get heat with each other, but that was rediculous, especially whoever darkchild is. When I was wrestling we didn't have the internet or it wasn't a big deal, so i've never seen anything like this before. Thank you to steel dragon for deleting those posts. You are totally right. people and posts like that make the business look bad. To me, if i got a problem with a guy outside the ring, i'll confront him and deal with it however it turns out. Posting personal attacks on the internet especially when the other party isn't on the board to defend himself is totally cowardly. Having said that, I see the business hasn't changed much. Just now we have the internet to gossip and stab people in the back with. Back in my day, all we had was phone and word of mouth. Its only been 9 years since I was in a ring, but alot has changed.
