I thought it would be a good idea to get to know everybody.
I'm from Battle Creek Mi. (RVD country) Been watching wrestling since as far back as I can remember aside from when I didn't have cable.
Recently me and a friend of mine decided that we're going to try to get a Indy going of our own, anyway i think this site has potential and look forward to seeing it grow.

Thank You it is alot of work I never thought it would actually be so much work. At some point I would like for us to have our own website and our own forum (dropping the proboards39 thing).
I am from Ontario Canada. Originally from BC Canada. I have done a few things for a few promotions in alot of places.
I currently own and run this forum with a few Moderators. They are great and have some great knowledge of the business. In fact if you see the MOD list you will see Ric Drasin. He has been a Wrestler and a promoter for a LONg time and actually has a training video out and also has a book on promoting. I would recommend you check it out. ricdrasin.com

Hi. my name is Billy. I have been watching wrestling now for about 9 years. Like hated1, i also plan to start my own wrestling fed. We don't get too many wrestling shows here in Louisiana anymore, so i figured that i would give it a shot, just to say that i accomplished my dream. I plan on going to Dory Funk Jr.'s wrestling school in Ocala, Fl. to get wrestling & promoter training. If anyone wants to become a wrestler, i know the feeling, and maybe one day, we can work together in XPW. Peace

I have been watching wrestling for about 8 years. I live in Iowa and around here there isnt to many wrestling feds, or for that matter wrestling at all. I have just recently got back into wrestling and I have found some wrestling programs, but they are tough to find.
I ran across this site one night and I was very impressed. I will share it with a couple of my friends as well, I know they will love it. Keep it up!!!

my name is Big Nasty, been wrestling professionally for 8 years now, have worked over 1000 matches, and a who's who list of workers. I have been trained by the most technically sound crew in all of professional wrestling the malenko crew. i have wrestled in about 21 states and over sea's. I am opening up a school for professional wrestling, and we will have MMA training as well. The pro wrestling school will have guest greats from pro wrestling stop by from time to time to lend a hand in training.
I am starting a christian pro wrestling federation. I am also a fabricator and plan to begin building pro wrestling rings for indy promo's at the least amount of money to help in start up cost.

I'm ryan from oshkosh wisconsin. I'm starting a company with my friend, due to the fact that i've always loved wrestling, and that the other promotion in town, that has produced the WWE wrestler Mr. kennedy, doesn't let anyone new in. thus a lot of great talent gets the shaft constintly. and thats wjere my company comes in. this is a great site to find info on what i need to make it a solid promotion.

I'm Anthony,17, from Richmond, Indiana. I am a wrestler in training as soon as my trainer gets another building to train in. (its been almost 10 months) I've been watching wrestling for as long as I can remember and has always been the only sport that i ever really liked. I too have been thinking about at some point starting a promotion of my own, and have found this site very helpful.

I'm "The SteelDragon" Ryan Blade. Of course everyone can just call my Ryan. I'm in my mid twenties. I trained with Jose Lothario for about three months before getting sent to Korea where my hopes of becoming a wrestler have been sort of put on hold. Of course experiencing another culture has been really cool, but I'm looking foward to coming back home, finishing my wrestling training, and starting college. (Like everyone most of the people here I'd like to start my own fed, but first I'd like to get some more experience under my belt)
I used to be on here all the time, but my old user name got messed up and even with the help of our awsome mods I couldn't seem to get it working or set up a new one. I'm glad to be back.

Hey my name is Derrick, I live In Southeastern Kentucky. We often have Indy shows in my town, but how should I put this nicely? ? They aren't worth a shit, so me and my friends decided one night to build our own ring and start our own fed. We did and now we have a regular crowd of about 125-200 people a night. For my town I think it is doing pretty good, but the man that trained me is dead now. So some of the people who is wanting to get into our Fed need to be trained. If anyone knows any training facilities in KY or TN it would be helpful.

I'm Andy, I'm in Lancashire, England. I'm in the process of opening my own promotion, hopefully to debut in March 07. I was linked here by SteelDragon and it looks like a good place to get advice. Currently looking to get a ring sorted, which is difficult over here because the only man who builds them full time does absolutely awful work.
I'm already looking at large venues - some of the largest ever used for a UK promotion in fact - and I have some solid backing in place. I've also started talking to some top stars and their agents about appearing.
I'm a trained wrestler, but I've only had a handful of matches as I only trained to gain knowledge and experience backstage so I could promote and book. I should be here regularly an dhope to take full advantage of what looks like a great resource for first-time promoters.

Howdy, My name is Dan Hanson and I live in South Dakota right now, I've be a pro wrestler for around 15 years and have over 2,000 matches. I was trained by Billy Anderson and Jesse Hernandez out of San Bernardino, CA. I've trained with guys such as Louie Spicolli, The God Father, Christohper Daniels, Cincinnati Red, Mr. Outrageous Al Burke, and many others. Worked matches in The States, Mexico, Guam, Philipines. Used to run a wrestling promotion out in Southern California with Cincinnati Red and Gary "Krusher" Key called Impact Wrestling Federation. I seem to remember that Ric "Demi-Hulk" Drasin caught one or two of our shows back in the day. I believe he was there with one of the guys that played Leather Face in one of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Movies. Anyways, moved from Cali back to South Dakota a few years ago and have been wrestling out here alittle facing guys like Sammy Savard, Mentallo, "Beautiful" Bobby Jay. I'm thinking of starting a promotion out here because, if done right, there is definately money to be made running a circuit in these small towns. Dirty Dan Hanson www.myspace.com/dirtydanhanson

My name is Dan and I am from Long Island, New York. I am going to start training to be a professional wrestler in January of next year. During the time trying to find a good trainer for me have just been trying to stay in shape. My brother and I would love to be tag team partners one day and we are in dire need of a ring close to home or even at home.

Hey everyone I am Matthew (wrestlerr is my username...sorry but its not so creative). Anyway, I am in my early teen and I have been studying martial arts. Now my friends and I figure out how to do some techniques for wrestling moves that don't hurt eachother. We came up with a lot of ideas. Well we are about to start on our wrestling ring (I'm just waiting for the plans) and thanks to you guys it will be much easier. You guys arn't greedy because you don't sell your ideas, you share them. I will stick around the site (right now I come on everyday).
Thanks everyone!

My name's Ryan, I'm from Altus, Oklahoma. For those of you who don't know, that's the Southwest corner of Oklahoma. I've been into wrestling for as long as I can remember and I've really been trying to go Independent with it but I have no training at the point, besides Backyard training.
I've been saving up money to get myself in a position where I could afford to go to a school but so far that's coming along slowly. However, I want to get back into the backyard wrestling scene just to take the rust out of my body. Glad to be here and hope things go smoothly.

Hi, I'm from South Georgia. We have a thriving independent wrestling hotbed here and just a few years ago I was right in the smack middle of it, wrestling under the name "Azmyth". I worked with alot of former WCW, ECW, TNA guys.. including: Dusty Rhodes, Scotty Riggs, Glacier, Buff Bagwell, Marty Jannetty, Tommy Rich, Mr. Hughes, Daffney, Jorge Estrada, Sonny Siaki, just to name a few.
I stopped, after getting hurt in a match with one of my former trainers. Botched power bomb that sent my top teeth through my bottom lip. It wasn't bad, but my wife was watching and I was totally covered in blood. From the look of me, it looked like I was spitting up blood. After that she kind of garnered this hatred for it, and has naysayed any attempts at getting back into it I have made.
Recently, however my thoughts have risen towards running a federation here.. rather than jumping right back into wrestling. I have learned over the past few years what "not to do", and have come of with some things I think would work well. I figure this route might even slowly grant me access back into wrestling.
